Nikhil Shah is a seasoned executive specializing in driving business model transformations, fostering global alliances, and spearheading the development of innovative products and solutions within the IT industry. With a multifaceted skill set encompassing marketing and corporate strategy, Mr Shah has established himself as a prominent figure in the technology sector.
Having served on the board of the Broadband Forum (BBF), a leading industry-standard body, Nikhil held various leadership positions and currently serves as the APAC ambassador, actively supporting the organization. His extensive expertise extends to a range of domains, including SDN, data center solutions, and data analytics.
As a thought leader, Nikhil Shah is a frequent speaker at prestigious conferences worldwide, including FICCI Frames, 5G India Leadership Summit, LTE Innovation Summit, IDC Telecom Summit, and academic institutions. His presentations often focus on future technologies and industry trends, contributing to the broader discourse on IT advancements. In his previous role as VP of Global Business Development at Crest Data Systems, Mr Shah played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company, with a focus on SDN, data centre solutions, and data analytics for key clients such as Cisco and Splunk.
During his tenure at Juniper Networks from 2006 to 2014, Nikhil led the Advanced Technology Team, supporting global service providers and enterprises in the mobility infrastructure and edge business. He played a key role in formulating the Software Defined Network (SDN/NFV) strategy for the APAC region and drove strategic alliances with industry giants such as Nokia, Ericsson, and IBM.
With a rich background at Lucent/Bell Labs from 1998 to 2006, Nikhil Shah held various positions, ranging from system engineering to network architecture. He designed some of the largest service provider networks globally and later transitioned into a product management role, managing partnerships with key industry players.
Nikhil holds a Masters in Computer Science from VJTI, Mumbai, and a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from LDCE, Ahmedabad, India. Additionally, he has completed the Greater Boston Executive Program from MIT Sloan and holds a Stanford University SAPM Diploma, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and leadership development.
